The team at Design by PH believes in giving back and rather than work with lots of small causes to little effect, it has chosen to dedicate its time and effort to supporting the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund – DMRC Ben Fund.
DMRC Ben Fund is a volunteer-run charity that provides funding to support holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for serving military patients at DMRC Stanford Hall, near Loughborough, which are not provided by public funding.
Offering a programme of events and activities to enhance the rehabilitation process, the Ben Fund plays a vital role in keeping patients motivated and supported while undertaking what can be an arduous and challenging recovery process.
Managing Director, Paul Hewitt, has visited the centre twice: “DMRC Stanford Hall is an entirely bespoke facility with enhanced rehabilitation facilities designed to support our serving military personnel, who dedicate their lives to support our country; it is only right that they get the best of care when they are injured in service.
“At Design by PH, we help the Ben Fund team fundraise with improved marketing materials including website management and get involved with events when we can. It is our small way of giving thanks and we are delighted to work with a charity that engages and involves us in activities where we can contribute.”
DMRC Stanford Hall offers the latest technology combined with gyms, swimming and hydrotherapy pools, a gait lab and all the elements essential for its clinical purpose. This includes rehabilitation of the most seriously injured members of the Armed Forces. Importantly, the centre is focused on returning those who have been injured in the course of service back to duty or supporting their transition into civilian life.
