Cornelius is a UK headquartered leading manufacturer and distributor of speciality chemicals, raw materials and ingredients to the European health & nutrition, personal care and industrial markets.
Seeking an outsourced design and marketing partner to place fresh eyes on its business, return focus to its core values and lift it out of mundane chemical industry brand positioning, Cornelius was looking for a clear segmentation of its target markets, uplift in branding and support to deliver its communications strategy for the 21st century.
The Right Mix
With three business units operating in five geographies, Cornelius had a flagging brand and overly complex approach to value proposition messaging. There was an absence of communication control, strategic thinking around communications planning and a varying brand image by geography. This was resulting in a lack of differentiation to its peer companies in the sector.
Design by PH developed a comprehensive website implementation plan with mirror websites for France, Nordic, Poland and the UK (Russia is under construction) with fresh branding for each market sector and a complete set of Cornelius imagery to provide consistency and authenticity for online and offline campaigns. All copywriting, creative and design was completed in house at Design by PH.
A new blogging and social media programme was developed along with comprehensive social media and crisis communications plans to ensure the company had a secure approach to digital management.
A number of exhibition stand designs have been delivered over the past two years, from pop up displays to full design and build, along with printed brochures, folders, branded merchandise, signage and the development of a Cornelius Creative Suite to host customer workshops.
Today Cornelius is a contemporary chemical company leading the way in brand image and digital communications.
